Statement: My current body of work reflects my reactions to the world around me. I have recently moved from Evanston, Illinois to a more rural environment, Gig Harbor, Washington. I am surrounded by the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The DIVERGENT WOODS reflects this new environment.

Lea received her BA in Art Education from The College of New Jersey and her MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She taught art for 28 years, ending her career at Beacon Academy, in Evanston, Il. Lea is a professional artist creating contemporary prints and paper pulp paintings, exhibiting and selling her artwork. Lea has a home printmaking studio in Gig Harbor, Wa. She is active in the art community, where she has joined Gallery Row, a collaborative art gallery. Lea annually visits Hook Pottery Paper, in Indiana, where she creates her paper pulp paintings.
