A sheet of paper contains a network of fibers, held together by their bonds, to create strength. This material radically expanded our capacity to physically record and share information and ideas with one another. It’s no wonder that this process continues to engage and inspire us as makers. For our annual gathering in 2025, NAHP seeks to spotlight connections, those we make through our practice and those we make through sharing it with the wider world. Together, let’s learn about collaborations between artists, craftspeople, and researchers; explore papermaking as a catalyst for social engagement and activism; and share our knowledge of tools and skills.

Conference Highlight

We are delighted to announce that our 2025 Anita Lynn Forgach Keynote Lecture will be delivered by the extraordinary educator and artist, Mary Hark. Mary was elected a Papermaking Champion at the 2024 conference in Denver. To find out more about Mary and her work, visit her website.
